
Focus Features Digital Publicity Assistant, June 2024 – Present
As the Focus Features Digital Publicity Administrative Assistant, I’ve continued many of my tasks that I had as a page and continued to build on my publicity experience by taking ownership over new responsibilities.
In my new role, I create press releases and work with other departments such as Creative Services and Marketing for new trailers, posters, and events and distribute to journalists in our press list based on our target audiences for each film.
I also work closely with digital/multicultural outlets and podcasts by pitching our films and talent so they receive visibility across their intended audiences. I’ve worked with Hispanic and Black-focused outlets for Pharrell’s LEGO blockumentary Piece by Piece along with AAPI-focused outlets for our film Dìdi (弟弟).

Over the course of my time at Focus, I’ve worked publicity campaigns on award-winning films such as Conclave and Nosferatu, securing press coverage opportunities for talent such as the Wiser Than Me podcast with Julia Louis Dreyfus as well as partnerships like the $20,000 sarcophagus bed and the Nosferatu Heretic Perfume.
I’ve also taken the responsibility of creating POs, processing invoices, and working with vendors to ensure they’re setup for payments. In addition, I schedule cross-departmental meetings with our agencies and teams at Focus, craft agendas, and take notes for recaps.
